MRI revealed a cystic mass on the anterior surface of the cervico-thoracic spinal cord, which showed low-signal intensity on Ti-weighted images and high-signal intensity on T2-weighted images. Gadolinium-enhanced MRI showed no enhancement and the spinal cord was markedly compressed by the cystic mass. C5-6. It hemilaminotomy and partial resection of cyst wall, cyst- subarachnoidal shunting were performed using posterior approach. Cyst was consisted of a slightly yellowish colored wall and contained fluids liked the CSF. Histopathological examination of the cyst wall revealed a single layer of ciliated columnar epithelium. Post-operative course was excellent. His numbness was disappeared and returned the occupation. 6 months later from first operation, bilateral numbness was recurred and he was admitted our hospital again. MRI revealed the recurrence of cystic mass lesion. C5-6 lamiloplastic laminotomy and total removal of the cyst was performed. The cyst wall was immunohistochemically stained by an epithelial membrane antigen, cytokelatin antigen and carcinoembryonic antigen. A diagnosis of endodermal cyst was made.}, pages = {21--25}, title = {Spinal Endodermal Cystの1症例}, volume = {10}, year = {1999} }
