 note = {Panic disorder is characterized by recurrent attacks of sudden,unexpected anxiety or discomfort. We treated 38 patients (man:16, woman:22) diagnosed according to DSM-III-R by alprazolam starting from 0.8mg/day to 1.2-2.4mg/day. Imipramine was added in some of the patients who were not controlled by alprazolam alone starting from 10mg/day to 110mg/day. Nineteen patients (50%) were controlled by alprazolam alone. Fifteen patients (39%) needed imipramine for a better control. Three patients (7.9%) were not controlled by this therapy. This study showed the effectiveness of alprazolam therapy in panic disorder.},
