 note = {In this report we present our clinical experience and results of stereotactic evacuation in cases with hypertensive putaminal (20 cases) and thalamic hemorrhage (20 cases), The mean ratio of the final aspirated volume to the estimated volume with CT image was 84% in putaminal and 70% in thalamic hemorrhage. 5 cases had hard hematoma and 1 of them affected its morbidity. Double track aspiration technique was used in 4 cases. It is suggested that this operation is effective in cases with larger hematomas which have irregular shaped margin and transverse long axis. This stereotactic method exceeded the single tube aspiration in aspiration rate and we believe that a reduction of the mortality is possible.},
