The angles among three joints（hip, knee, and ankle）were measured by using a 3D motion analyzer. Moreover, analyses of the center of pressure（COP）and ground reaction forces were carried out using a force plate. There were two biomechanical requirements for rising from a chair. One was to transfer the COG horizontally within the foot support area by flexing the body segments. The other was to move the COG vertically over the foot support area by extending the body segments.
