Very recently, it has been recognized that there is a Mobius strip in nature. One is a Mobius structure is formed by crystals of a compound of niobium and selenium, NbSe3. The second is a Mobius, aromatic hydrocarbon compound stabilized by its extended π-system, combining a 'normal' aromatic structure（with πorbitals orthogonal to the ring plane）and a 'belt-like' aromatic structure（with πorbitals within the ring plane）. Leucine-rich repeat（LRR）-containing domains are present in many proteins and fold into a horseshoe（or arc）shape.
