 note = {We cannot speak with certainty in regards to the factors which may be added to syphilis in order to produce general paresis. In reference to the above, a study on 7 cases (3 families) of general paresis was conducted and the following results were obtained. 1) A clear biological affinity was noted between the psychic disposition and clinical picture on general paresis. 2) Athletic bodily type and extroverted personality indicated the the expansive form. Asthenic bodily type and introverted personality indicated the simple dementing form. 3) There is a possibility that "Rand symptome" (Hoche) was a discharge of repres-sion on biological disposition. A careful perusal of previous literature has revealed the lack of reports pertaining to the above factors, and it is pointed out by the author as a matter of considerable significance.},
