To examine the relationship between p53 mutation and its protein accumulation, tumor samples from 65 oral cancer patients were analyzed using both single strand conformational polymorphism (SSCP) technique to screen the presence of p53 gene mutations and immunohisto-chemistry to detect the p53 protein accumulations. Results were simultaneously associated with clinicopathological variables of the cancers and prognoses of the patients. p53 gene mutations were found in 18 cancers (7.6%), whereas aberrant accumulations of p53 protein were present in 31 cancers (47.6%). All of the oral cancers with p53 mutation showed positive immunoreactivity, but in addition, p53 protein accumulations were still found in 13 oral cancers (20%) without detect-able gene mutations. The concordance between the protein expression and the SSCP analysis was 80%. Such p53 abnormalities were significantly correlated with lymph node metastasis and clinical stage. Patients with the detectable p53 abnormalities survived for a significantly shorter period of time. p53 abnormal-ities are reliable as an indicator for evaluating malignant potential of oral can-cers.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_7_identifier_registration":{"attribute_name":"ID登録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_identifier_reg_text":"10.15114/tr.31.43","subitem_identifier_reg_type":"JaLC"}]},"item_7_publisher_32":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"Sapporo Medical University"}]},"item_7_source_id_7":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"0041-4093","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_7_version_type_15":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85","subitem_version_type":"VoR"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Odajima, Tetsuyo"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Yamaguchi, Akira"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Nagai, Itaru"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Kohama, Geniku"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Satoh, Masaaki"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Yamashita, Toshiharu"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Fujinaga, Kei"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2019-07-31"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"n004140933143.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"1.4 MB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"n004140933143.pdf","url":"https://sapmed.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/14224/files/n004140933143.pdf"},"version_id":"bb2f5b4a-2fac-4210-96ea-f7eb8e52e7ee"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"p53 gene mutation","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Oral cancer","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Clinicopathological variable","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"Non-radioactive Screening of p53 Mutations in Human Oral Cancers Detected by Single Strand Conformation Polymorphism Analysis : Comparison with the Protein Accumulation","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"Non-radioactive Screening of p53 Mutations in Human Oral Cancers Detected by Single Strand Conformation Polymorphism Analysis : Comparison with the Protein Accumulation","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"7","owner":"15","path":["1711"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"PubDate","attribute_value":"2019-07-31"},"publish_date":"2019-07-31","publish_status":"0","recid":"14224","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Non-radioactive Screening of p53 Mutations in Human Oral Cancers Detected by Single Strand Conformation Polymorphism Analysis : Comparison with the Protein Accumulation"],"weko_creator_id":"15","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-12-13T02:45:08.765566+00:00"}
